The official visit of Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov to Qatar started with talks with his counterpart Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr al-Thani and with plenary talks between the two delegations. The two premiers discussed the possibilities for increasing Qatari investments in Bulgaria. It is expected Premier Borissov to talk within the framework of the visit with Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

THE fifth session of the Zambia-Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) joint permanent commission (JPC) on defence and security held in Ndola has urged the Zambian and Congolese governments to source funds for the physical demarcation of the Zambia-DRC border. All metal pipes which carry liquid petroleum gas underground will be replaced, the Government has said as it responded to a report on a factory explosion which killed nine people in Glasgow almost six years ago. The explosion at the ICL Plastics factory in May 2004 also left 33 people with serious injuries - it was an "avoidable disaster", according to Lord Gill, who presided over an inquiry into the blast. It was caused by a build-up of leaking gas from pipes buried under the ground which ignited.

A class, "Growing Fruit at Home," will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Reisinger's Apple Country, 2750 Apple Lane, Watkins Glen.
